Before you start
Give the message a purpose
Example: Alex has 1 storage-bag clip. What could the next post reveal about the question shoppers care about?
A clear question makes feedback useful.
Step 1 · Read
What makes a test readable
- Message. Show a specific use so a viewer can judge what the product would do for them.
- Measure. Decide which response would help answer your question before looking at the results.
- Limit. Set an effort or spending boundary so an inconclusive test does not drift into an expensive habit.
Step 2 · View
Make content or buy reach
| Consider | Content | Ads |
|---|---|---|
| Work | Make material you can show and discuss with viewers. | Prepare a message, destination and paid test. |
| Cost | Content takes time even when you do not buy reach. | Paid distribution spends money before proving demand. |
| Limit | Responses may arrive slowly and unevenly. | More visits still do not explain why someone would buy. |
I can make clips
Content fits when you can demonstrate the product and respond to questions. You accept slower, less predictable distribution.
I can fund a test
A paid test fits when you can afford to lose its budget and have a clear measurement plan. Extra reach is not proof of demand.
Step 3 · Match
Distinguish the signals
Visit
Someone reaching a page, rather than placing an order.
Cart
A shopper putting an item in a cart before checkout.
Purchase
A completed order, separate from a visit or cart action.
Choose the signal that answers your question, rather than whichever number happens to be largest.
Official sources
Check the current rules
Official check: check the ad platform’s current policies before paying to run this message.
Requirements depend on your provider, product and destination.
Step 4 · Try
Write before posting
Write the storage-bag use, the shopper question, the response to track and a stopping point. Keep the record before publishing.

Spend time or spend money
I can demonstrate the bag but have little money for reach.
Work on the product page and compare feedback in your review. You spend time making useful material while accepting uncertain reach.
I can fund a limited test and have a clear question.
Check the product fit and support plan before buying reach. More visits can also reveal problems you will need to handle.
Step 6 · Next
Learn from a modest test
Explore how a product message, a response measure and a limit work together, without turning a view count into a sales forecast.
Read the articleKeep your next question in the workspace.
Keep this in mind
- Choose a useful message, a spend limit and a measure before posting or paying.
- Keep the evidence and assumptions separate.
- Write the next question before spending more.
